Returns Technician

Who you will be working for?

Reporting to the Returns Team Leader. This role is working for a world class and leading manufacturer in the West Midlands, and is one of the brands belonging to a cutting edge technology company based in Europe. This position is part of a small team. The role sits within the customer services function and will suit talented individuals with experience gained in a glazing or other technical optical role.

What the role looks like?

As a returns assessor you will be responsible for identifying and coding glazing errors and making expert decisions in line with Company processes and procedures.

What you will be doing?

The key to the success of the role will be your enthusiasm, self motivation and self discipline to achieve more and meet deadlines. You will need to be a self-starter, and able to work on your own initiative. On a day to day basis, you will be responsible for:
  • Resolving all returns queries in a timely, accurate and consistent manner by ensuring that glasses are analysed accurately and data from company MI systems is used to give the correct information and outcome.
  • Building rapport with the BOL team with the outbound calls that are made to practice.
  • Dealing with inbound calls/queries in a polite and efficient manner – ensuring that the query is dealt with effectively and to the full satisfaction of the customer.
  • Building long term relationships with customers.
  • Supporting and approaching the Returns position with a ‘can do attitude’ and always looking for a better way.
  • Fully interacting with the supply chain team across all of the relevant sites.
  • Comply with all standard operating procedures (SOPS), work instructions or procedures applicable to the role.

What you will need to have?

The successful candidate will hold previous experience of working within an optical environment. You should have glazing/technical experience and a good understanding of the optical manufacturing and glazing process. You will also need to be a strong communicator, have a diligent approach to customer services, excellent attention to detail, professional style and approach, a positive and proactive attitude, a team player and be able to use the relevant IT systems.

Knowledge and Experience

Essential:
  • Previous experience working within a similar role.
  • Excellent optical knowledge.
  • Good working knowledge of IT systems and databases
Ideal:
    • Ideally, experience of using AS400 or similar databases.

Education and Qualification

      • Ideally, you will hold a technical glazing qualification such as SMC

Frame Administrator

Who you will be working for?

Reporting to the Assistant Frame Supply Chain Manager. This role is working for a world class and leading manufacturer in the West Midlands, and is one of the brands belonging to a cutting edge technology company based in Europe. This position is part of a small team. This is a 6 month fixed term contract (maternity cover), the role sits within the commercial function and will suit talented individuals with experience gained n a strong administrative department creating and maintain weekly and monthly KPI reporting.

What the role looks like?

You will manage all KPI reporting for Frame Management relating to all projects currently in progress. The role will require you to develop excellent knowledge of technical standards and processes associated with Frame Management and the wider supply chain.

What you will be doing?

The key to the success of the role will be your enthusiasm, self motivation and self discipline to achieve more and meet deadlines. You will need to be a self-starter, and able to work on your own initiative. On a day to day basis, you will be responsible for:
  • Processing orders on our AS400 system that are held as low or Non Stocks and identifying orders that require cancellation or progression.
  • Monitoring frame flows to Poland & Thailand on a daily basis.
  • Monitoring frame activity and creating weekly KPI reports.
  • Monitoring Designer stocks and adjust weekly orders.
  • Monitor data for all customers and maintain integrity of information supplied.
  • Creation of weekly & monthly reports.
  • Comply with all standard operating procedures (SOPS), work instructions or procedures applicable to the role.
  • To compile appropriate reports and statistical analysis as required.

  • Excellent MS Office knowledge and in particular good Excel Skills
  • Good working knowledge of IT systems & in particular Excel.

    • Ideally, experience of using Oracle or AS400.
    • Ideally, previous experience working within a manufacturing or logistics environment.

    HR & Payroll Officer

    Who you will be working for?

    Reporting to the Head of HR, this role is working for a world class and leading manufacturer in the West Midlands, and is one of the brands belonging to a cutting edge technology company based in Europe. This position is part of a small team and will suit talented individuals with experience gained within HR in similar organisations.

    What the role looks like?

    To provide a comprehensive HR support service by providing proactive business partnering support of line managers during recruitment, absence management, conduct and capability processes and to complete payroll requirements, including the preparation and processing of the monthly payroll.

    What you will be doing?

    Supporting managers with ER and payroll advice, working with the HR team on projects. This is a generalist HR & Payroll position. On a day to day basis, you will be responsible for:
    • Working in a busy HR and payroll environment ideally within a logistics or manufacturing company, supporting, guiding and coaching managers.
    • General HR & payroll administration and advisory and the creation of monthly KPI reports for HR & Payroll.
    • Work with managers to improve attendance, reduce conduct, capability & grievance issues.
    • Developing and improving onboarding processes and ensuring that BBGR recruits the best talent into the company.
    • Work with managers to support and drive employee engagement initiatives .
    • To develop and maintain effective working relationships with all internal working colleagues.
    • Support talent management initiatives .
    • To compile appropriate reports and statistical analysis as required.
